Facilities and access

  • There is no camping or overnight stay allowed on the airfield.
  • There are no facilities except for the provision of toilets.
  • No dogs under any circumstance will be allowed onto the field.
  • All attendees must be BMFA members and must have their membership card with them. Non-flying family members are permitted access.
  • No motorised retrieval.

Payments

  • Entry, cash only. £10.00 per day charge or £25.00 to cover all three days. The fee allows the entrant to fly in as many events, including the Bowden and scale, as they desire.
  • BMFA season ticket holders will be required to pay the entry fee.
  • Casual sport flyers will be required to pay the same entry fees.

  • The open classification covers all models flown to their class specific rules. E36 flown in open electric will be allowed a full motor run.
  • F1Q includes F1Q UK.
  • The max to be decided on the day.
  • The number of flights in the “F” classes to be decided on the day, with either no rounds or 2 flights before 13:00.
  • Fly offs from – 18:15
  • Number of flights
    • F1A, F1B, FIC, F1Q, F1G, F1H, F1J – 5 flights
    • HLG, CLG – 7 flights
    • All other classes – 3 flights
  • Your BMFA or FAI number (25mm minimum size) must be displayed on the wing of your model
  • Flight Cards must be returned to control after each flight
  • Flight times to be recorded in seconds

  • Points – 9, 6, 4, 3, 2, 1. Dependant on entries the points will be reduced bottom up.
  • In the event of a tie the placings will be decided on the number of entries in the class flown. If a tie persists, then the longest fly off score to decide.

 Bowden Trophy and Stan Horne Memorial – Sunday 24th August

 The events will be run by the Peterborough Club. The RDT rule does not apply.

Scale – Saturday 23rd August

  • FF2 Scale Free Flight contest for the Selby Trophy.
  • FF3 Rubber Precision contest for the Rubber Precision Trophy.

The events will be run by the Scale Technical Committee. The RDT rule does not apply

Awards

 Certificates and medals will be awarded for all events.
